99% Cheneese

It seems that the Chinese tour agents selected this resort. They promised the resort near 100% occupancy in return to 50-60% discount on the stay price. As a result it is one of the cheapest places at the sea for Chinese in Thailand. As they seem not be bothered about spending holidays among their compatriots, they represent 99% of the resort residents. I however would recommend the place for one night stay due to its location in the bay that is by far the best for snorkeling our of all the bays of this island. The island itself can be beautiful if not for poor housekeeping.
Pros: 1) Coral reef at the secluded from waves shore with very clear water (visibility down to 15m and at times more) It harbors the highest diversity and number of coral animals than anywhere else on this island; 2) beach is safe for children and sand is there to build castles etc. 3)the territory clean and quiet; 4) staff is friendly and as helpful as they can possibly be 5) large and medium monitor lizards slowly pass by.
Cons: 1) Aggressive charging policy, 2) poor knowledge of basic English among the staff; 3) the internet speed is good only for instant messaging. Hotspots are all over the place but can serve only 1-2 clients at a time. Others can connect but would not get internet access; 4) Breakfast food is not replenished so some items end long before the breakfast time is over, coffee is cold; 5) Swimming pool water is turbid (no filters installed?) 6) Bungalow are with only one electric socket in the room and one in the bathroom. Minor issues include conditioners that work from 6pm to 8am (superior bungalows) and no apparent effort to bring any kind of entertainment in the resort which may be a plan
