Nice place for family with young children
My kids loved the private pool in the 2-bedroom villa we rented. And, when they wanted to do something different, they just had to head over to the Kids Park which was less than 50 metres from where we stayed, where they could enjoy the water play area, and an indoor and outdoor playground. On weekends, there were some kids activities, e.g., my 7-year old made his own candle, before going on to play at the playgrounds.
Food is not really a problem, as there are many eateries along the main road, which is less than 5 minutes away from the Villa. For the more adventurous, a 15-20 minute walk will bring you restaurants where you can pick your own lobsters, crabs, shrimps, fish, which the restaurants will gladly cook for you. You have a choice of eating there, or packing it back to the Villa. I will recommend that you eat it there if you do not have young children. The owner of the Chocolate Bar & Restaurant, which is the first restaurant I encountered when walking out from the Villa gave me very good directions. That said, his restaurant serves a good mix of pizza, pastas, and of course, tom yum and green curry, and milk shakes.
If you want to try your own cooking, the closest convenience store will be the Family Mart. Just walk to the main road, and turn right, and keep walking for about 5-7 minutes. The Villa I rented had bicycles, which I used to get to Family Mart.
