Upon arriving at the Grand Supicha we are greatly disappointed, as we were expecting a 4 star hotel, and it really looks like a 2 or 3 star hotel. The entrance is on a street, and it is not gated. It is sided by very average surroundings, and the hotel itself does not have any wow factor to look at from the outside. The foyer is very basic, and not at all "grand" as one would expect from a 4 star hotel. The rooms are not at all of a standard for a 4 star hotel, they are clean however have very basic toiletries - a bath gel and a shampoo, in very small single bottles not suitable for 2 people, and a shower cap - that's it ! the toilet paper roll was an issue, as it was one small roll and we had to call for extra. The toiletries had no feel of luxury, or bountifulness, in fact were very mean. The glasses were never washed once upon our stay, only the coffee cups were. HOWEVER - the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean. I would rate the hotel with a 2 or 3 star. To give it 4 stars leads customers to have expectations which are not met. There is a small pool visible from the breakfast room & reception - and no where to take any sun in. The property has parking which was a plus, however not quite enough. It has no grounds around it, which make sit feel a bit claustrophobic. Be prepared for a city feel hotel, and do not book it if you want a 4 star hotel. The price is a little high for 2 or 3 star hotel, but it's not a pleasant 2 or 3 star hotel.
