Nice location, but could use some upgrading

Beautiful, but a bit run down. There were ants in our room and when we called, they sent someone to our room with a can of bug spray. The service, rooms and restaurants at the Anantara Siam is much better. However, we went to the Avani for dinner one night and the restaurant there was better than the ones in the Anantara Riverside, and breakfast at The Coffee Club in the shopping mall connected to the Avani was a much better deal than the restaurant in the Anantara. The sunset cocktail cruise on the river was lovely.
