Excellent location but musky carpet smel

Check in and out was hassle free n fast. But when I reach my room floor and exit the lift, I was overwhelmed by a strong musky smell probably from the carpet... It's rather unpleasant but figured it will b ok in the room. However when I entered the room there was a light but noticeable smoke stench even though I was promised it was a non smoking room. The bed n pillow were really comfortable and the range of products given really match the location with the thann series of aroma products.
