Great location- small improvements required.

Had a 10 night stay over Christmas and the New Year with my wife and 2 teenage children.
The Royal Family Suite (2 bed villa) itself was very spacious, well equipped with WiFi (kids very happy with that) fridge/freezer/microwave, tea & coffee making equipment, Sat TV, Air Conditioning and fans in all rooms.Proximity right next to the huge swimming pool. The rooms were cleaned and serviced every day and new towels for indoor and outdoor use provided. One small critisism of the villa would be would be that the bathroom looks very "tired" - the silicone around the bath/shower was very old/yellow and needs urgent attention. I`m sure it`s an easy job to fix.
We weren`t told about facilities when we arrived, so after a few days we asked,and were shown the gym with various exercise machines. I did want to use the small sauna however was told that it`s "not working yet"- very surprised as it looked brand new! We also noticed the resort name on site was called Pattra Vill Resort & Spa- when we asked where the Spa part was,(just in case we missed something) we were told that it`s coming soon!
We were very comfortable at Pattra Vill, with a fantastic location- (you literally walk out straight into the heart of Lamai walking street),where all the restaurants,bars,massage & shops. We did need to use some earplugs at night due to various bars competing for sound dominance nearby.
The resort is listed as 5 star so I do think that breakfast could be a bit more interesting with choice, and they should have these additional Spa facilities installed to give it a 5 star feel. Staff were very helpful- nothing was too much trouble and a *special thanks to Piyathida on evening reception duty- who was always so receptive and gave us a crash course in how to speak Thai :-)
If you`re looking for a very peaceful, comfortable stay, in a great location close to the main street, this would be ideal.
