We really enjoyed our stay at Pattra Vill, in fact more so than at some five-star properties in Thailand. The decor is very pleasant, the suites are HUGE (we had a two-bedroom one), and there are tons of extras that are invaluable when you are with kids, including a fridge, microwave, hotplate, cutlery, crockery, a lovely beach bag and towels, big bottles of toiletries. Because there was so much space we never felt constricted or cramped. Another plus was that there was no attached pool in our villa: we like to avoid those because of the possibility of kids getting into them. The location was awesome too. Pattra Vill sits in a lovely garden with mountains as a backdrop and you get that "getaway" feeling. Yet the place does not sprawl over acres and you are just steps away from the pharmacy, grocery store, beach, and a multitude of restaurants and shops. Service is great and while the breakfast is a bit lacklustre it was easy to forgive given the many pros of the place.
