Paradise in the Golden Triangle

We loved this resort, and can only hope we get to stay here again. The highlight was our morning in the 'mahout training school' -- it was thrilling to sit on the neck of the elephants. The mahouts took good care of us and let us have the impression that we were actually steering the elephants!

The pool is beautiful. It was an amazing sensation to know we were looking out at Burma.

The setting and design were matched by the warmth of the staff. They were truly attentive and friendly.

We hope to come back one day.
