We are a couple in our 80's so we were looking for a nice relaxing stay , in a beautiful location, with lovely considerate staff and that is what we got. John D UK

I would not advise anyone to go to Koh Samui in September , It is the rainiest month on that island. Perhaps that is partly the reason for our stay at the Paradise Beach Resort hotel being one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever encountered of all the hundreds of hotels I have stayed in. On arrivaral it was pouring with rain, the hotel has trees and shtubs growing throughout the grounds and is therefore a haven for mosquitoes. My main complaint is the staff let us into our room (I paid a lot extra for a bungalow) without first spraying it with repellent. Within 5 minutes we were covered in bites which as you know the itching can last for 2 or 3 days. On arrival at the reception I wouldn't say that the staff were overwhelmingly welcoming. The main bedroom and very large bathroom are a treat, we loved the large walk-in shower. Top quality bath towels and proper large beach towels. There are insufficient electric sockets int he room. Many flies in the breakfast room, on the food
