Two of us stayed here in a deluxe seaview for three nights. I would rate this hotel as one of the best I have stayed in (including much more expensive 5 star places). The rooms are large and comfortable with an excellent balcony / terrace offering a fantasic view. It really is something to wake up each morning to such a view. Staff were very good and efficient (aside from the very annoying Bangladeshi tailor - what is he doing up there?).
Food in the vening is good and value for money and breakfasts are quite varied in spite of the small number of diners.
I would say this hotel is far better than a stay in Lamai or Chaweng as they are both over developed noisy places, which have lost the magic of Samui, while the Best Western still retains it.
One area that could be improved is the supposed shuttle bus to Lamai. If you want to go to Lamai on the hour, they will take you. However, if there are no guests going on an hour, the bus won't leave, which means if you're waiting in Lamai for the bus at a quarter past the hour, you won't get picked up. This is something the hotel should improve.
