Crystal Bay Yacht Club is located on a beautiful part of the beach in Koh Samui. The bungalows are a great size and clean. The shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a divider so you don't have the typical Asian wet bathroom floor. The restaurant is a little pricy for Koh Samui, but really well priced for a resort. Restaurant staff are very friendly, switched on and speak english well.
Thai massage is offered on site overlooking the beach for a very reasonable price and the masseuses are very talented. As someone in the fitness industry who has spent a lot of time and money on physiotherapists, myotherapists and masseuses (in both the western world and Asia), Ticha, Dai and Noi know what they are doing. This shows as they are busy all day long!
There isn't too much walking distance from the resort but we rented a scooter to get about, and also booked our trip to Koh Phangan via reception.
For anyone who needs to work while they are travelling - as we did, the internet at Crystal Bay is reliable and as fast as you will get on the island. It seemed to be a great place for families with younger children, and we could take our parents there and they would be comfortable.
