Great Resort
We have stayed at all the 5 Star resort on Koh Samui and this is one of the best by far. The resort is older but extremely well kept and the staff, some have been there for many years are excellent. The swimming pool is huge and there is a very nice kids pool. The bungalow/villa style accommodation is spacious and very comfortable and has everything you need. The breakfast is excellent and there is a good selection to keep just about everyone happy.
Maenam beach is one of the good ones. It's North facing which means it face Koh Phangan which is nice to look over at. It's one of the few beaches on Samui you can run down the sand and dive into the water without hitting coral or rocks.
This is a very large piece of flat land and great for kids of all ages. The gym is good, open from 6.00 am which is handy. It has everything you need for a workout, there are two tennis courts, one grass.
My only gripe is the cost of the food. This is an expensive place to eat in. The beach cafe and the restaurants are all expensive. We live on Samui and eat everywhere and Santaburi although we love it, the food is definitely overpriced. Don't get me wrong the quality is excellent but it is pricey by ANY standards, especially 5 star Thai. We did eat in a few times but there are so many good places close by we recommend you eat elsewhere.
