Good location, low value for money
We went here to spend new years eve 2014. The resort is directly situated on the beach, which is nice. And the park is well maintained. Cabins are basic but clean and have a nice veranda. Breakfast is good. It's crowded with Swedish families.
It was mandatory for visitors who were staying in the hotel at new years eve to join the hotels new years eve party. And pay for this. We had to pay 2000 Baht (50 euros) per person for this! This we found very expensive but it also made we had high expectations for the party. Eventually it was a total rip-off. Food was okay (and plenty) but nothing you could not buy at restaurants at the beach or in town. So that was quite a deception. But then there was the singer at the party. She probably didn't know new years is considered to be a party. It was like attending a funeral. All international songs were raped into slow, down beat songs. There was nothing cheerfull. So we left very early, feeling sad for spending so much money for this. But as we left we were presented the bill for the drinks. We even had to pay for the drinks, even though we payed a lot of money for the party. Total deception! Beware of this next year. You better stay at different hotels with new years eve and spend your money at individual restaurant who are serving great dishes for only a small percentage of the sum we had to pay.
You have to pay for WiFi. That's a bit old-fashioned I think. Reception is good though. But connection is shaky, a lot of times connection gets lost.
And you also have to pay separately for the gym. Too bad. The gym had very basic instruments which were outdated.
All by all this hotel offers low value for money. One of the lowest I experienced in the whole of Thailand. They should not make it mandatory to join and pay for the new years eve party. And WiFi costs should be included in the room price.
