Okay hotel, wouldn't recommend for romantic trip

We booked the Southern Lanta for the gym and air con as we had just left a more rustic hut on the island of Koh Lipe. The gym is quite old and you have to pay 50 baht to use. The rooms were good, bathrooms were outdated and had bugs but we expected that.
There are a lot of families and kids at this resort and the beach is very kid friendly so be aware if you're looking for an adult-oriented or romantic resort this isn't it. Breakfast buffet was decent, the same food was served everyday but there was enough options to not feel like we at the same thing every day.
Reception helped us book a car for a day and we enjoyed getting to tour around the island. We paid 1200 baht which included insurance which we thought was fairly decent.
