Intimate location, good value

Stayed four nights over 2015 New Year as part of a stop on our honeymoon. Best part of this resort is its location on the northern tip of the island. It's isolated but intimate. It's located on a stretch of beach with 3-4 other resorts. The beach could probably be walked in 20-30 minutes, so bar hopping resort-to-resort was fun. Prices for drinks, etc are much higher than Bangkok, as is food, massages, etc. So be prepared. But staff was super accommodating, nice, and helpful.
We did a classic villa which was clean, intimate, and fun, though not modern. Food offered by the resort was descent in quality but lacked variety. By day four we were itching for something different, especially from the breakfast buffet. But bouncing among the aforementioned other resorts on the beach offered a little variety, though they had a lot of the same stuff too.
They threw an awesome New Year Party, which was mostly free, and a ton of fun.
I'd stay there again. Four days is a good amount of time, given the effort it takes to get there. More than that may have gotten a little stale.

Excellent place but needs a bit renovation
