Good hotel in the heart of Chaweng - serious airplane noise

This is a great hotel if you want to be in the heart of the action in Chaweng. The grounds are nice and we really liked our beach bungalow. The lush vegetation does a pretty good job of blocking most of the noise by nearby Arkbar, but the beach is crowded with people and hawkers. It's a great place to stay but beware, you'll be right under the flight path of arriving planes, and the noise is LOUD, and you'll see the details of the plane as it passes over you with a roar when you're on the beach. Thankfully the planes don't start too early or go too late, but they are a serious consideration. The other downside was the bi-weekly spraying/smoking for mosquitos, which was somewhat terrifying when we just arrived and not a pleasant experience or atmosphere.
