Nice design but rundown
The design of the hotel is really nice and the rooms are very spacious. However, it really needs an upgrade. The hotel is really rundown. In terms of cleanliness, it really needs improvement. We booked a pool access room which gave us direct access to the pool. The hotel only provided us with 2 towels even though we were a family of 4. We had to constantly call housekeeping for extra towels. The balcony was never cleaned during our stay...all dirty and wet towels left on the balcony were not collected and replaced during our stay. The balcony had some dead leaves and plants which remained there throughout our stay. The pool bar was filthy with bird droppings on the bar and cutlery inside the pool. The main pool in general was not clean. Even though we got a pool access room (most expensive room type) we rarely swam because the pool was not well maintained. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were friendly and very helpful, and the hotel is just across the beach. The beach was the only thing we looked forward to everyday. The hotel is also very close to many restaurants and a shopping area.
