Outdated and tired not what is used to be !

I have been to this hotel on several occasions in the last ten years and it's disappointing to see the steady decline of this once jewel of a hotel. I stopped in the small Banyan Pool Villa and the pool had tiles missing, the garden was not well kept, paint flaking off walls and a general lack of care. Both hand wash dispensers were broken in the bathrooms and the maids / previous guests hair was all over the room. This hotel needs serious investment and has needed this for several years as this has not happened overnight. I have not read the other reviews but I am sure the discerning travellers will all think the same. 3 star hotel now at best, sad to see this happen
