Tranquil and beautiful setting
The hotel itself is private, quiet and situated in beautiful natural surroundings.
We requested a double room but on checking in we were allocated a twin room . We also had an issue with the toilet not working. The following day we enquired about availability of a double room, they did not have one in our category so they upgraded us to a pool villa; this was such a nice treat.
The rooms are light, big and comfortable, and the bathrooms too. The villa pool was clean and a nice size for cooling down.
There are lots of stairs between the lobby, rooms and restaurant, so if you have problems with stairs I advice you not to stay here, otherwise its good exercise.
The swimming pools are sparkling and clean; and the sea below the hotel is great for snorkeling.
The spa was fantastic; the staff lovely, making you feel relaxed and comfortable, the spa rooms have breathe taking views of Karon beach and the massage (deep tissue full body) was excellent.
We were disappointed that the Cliff Restaurant was closed for renovations. Breakfast at the Bayview Restaurant was good with a wide selection of food, and their cocktails were great.
Overall we loved the hotel and highly recommend it.
