Home away from home!
We had booked a 3 night stay at Maduzi, right after a 2 night stay at a larger hotel in Bangkok, and our initial feel was that Maduzi was much smaller setup. However, that actually worked for us, as we were happy to stay away from the hustle bustle, and yet be at a stone’s throw away from the Asok BTS and the terminal 21 mall. The property had a distinct home/ serviced apartment appeal, and our room was huge, with awesome additions, like the coffee machine and a jacuzzi! The breakfast is ala-carte (you can order 2 options, as opposed to the conventional buffet format), but the options were delectable and well proportioned. This also avoided food wastage, which is always a good thing. The staff was also very supportive, and polite. We would like to highlight that they actually opened their kitchen earlier then the stated 6.30 am, as we had a 9.05 am flight to catch from the Suvarnabhumi airport. At 6.15 am, we were served a freshly cooked breakfast of banana pancakes and sunny side up eggs! This was a wonderful gesture, and one that touched us a lot. Maduzi is ideal for people looking for a quieter, yet central location, with nice, spacious rooms, a delicious breakfast, and a warm supportive staff. They have a fairly basic gym, and no pool, but as a couple, we required neither, and were happy to explore the sukkhumvit area, and come back in the night to our “home away from home”. Will definitely stay here again!
