nice hotel, service with smile, poor management
we've definitely read about the numerous amount of steps on the territory of the hotel prior to making our booking. however my mom chose to ignore it and still book the sea-view room located little bit higher in the mountain. in a week we decided to move to a lower level because she started to have heart problems. conclusion of this part is, the view is beautiful but make sure you are fit enough to climb up a distance equal to an 8-story building without an elevator with no breeze at 39*c.
breakfast was ok for the first 3 days because food never changed. lack of variety and cold tea and coffee. though the constantly smiling restaurant staff made it all much better!
the hotel's evening dining venue was always empty for 21 day. being an mba grad i can only suggest that the management of the hotel leaves much to be desired. due to the low season many other hotels offered numerous promotions, discounts and combos. we also visited those during our stay. this hotel's manager gotta be extremely greedy and old-fashioned that's why even when no one was attending the dinner, the prices were above average. can give a quick hint: the hotel was full of russian people, they like to drink, let them drink their liquors for less corkage than 2000 baht which is just ridiculous, and they will eat all you have at once!!!
swimming pool closes at 8 pm sharp and at the same time they fill it with a cleaning chemical. it's very easy to trespass and swim anyways because it's such a temptation when the beach is already dark and the evening is really hot. however, remember about the chemical. they don"t put any sign there.
