Upon arriving, we were greeted by enthusiastic porters and staffers, and a refreshing cup of juice and cold towel. Staffers are very prompt in addressing our every needs and try to help us as much as they can. When we got into our room, we were dismayed to find out it was a double single bed kind (hey we're a couple heh), and that there's no more double bedder rooms. But they redid our room layout and combined the beds (and furnishing) appropriately. Appreciate they try their best to fix the situation. Give and take a bit
The location is quite a walk to the main activities of Patong, but it being positioned at the end of the beach allow you to walk down the street along the beach, turn into Blanga Road, to the shopping centre (beside Millennium Resort) and walk back another route which joins back the first street and back to Patong. Gives you the perfect to route to cover everything in one perfect round.
Room is clean and cleaned promptly everyday. Missing items promptly replaced. Bed is fantastic, but the pillow and bolster can be better. Have no idea why it is bad, perhaps the only sore point for us with regards to the hotel.
Maybe a bit far walk for some, but hey, its holiday time, take it easy
A lady with her pushcart stall serves up a wicked seafood soup (spicy, with glass noodles) called Sooki outside sometimes. Uber fantastic, must-try. And the cat fish she BBQ-ed, another must have.
While it is not 5-star quality, it is definitely very very value for money, and if I were to go back and not want to try other new joints, I'll definitely go back to Sea View Patong.
Check it out, no regrets
