Tropical paradise on a more-or-less private beach

Great weekend escape. Well appointed bungalows right on the beach. Surin owns most of the waterfront so it feels like a private beach.

Some things to consider - it's quite a big place, not an intimate boutique experience. It's also built into the hillside with many many stairs - it's quite a walk from reception to the beach and from the restaurant to our bungalow - don't think of staying here if you don't like stairs.

On the whole a beautiful place with tasteful design.

One demerit: white ants in the ceiling above the bed left gritty, sandy deposits on the pillows and on my face during the night - not good! Feedback to reception and written feedback to the management elicited no response.
