Above and Beyond

I rode to Pai from Chiang Mai for the weekend and had the unfortunate experience of crashing my bike on the wet mountain roads coming into Pai. The staff at Family House Zen went way out of their way to help me set up transport back to Chiang Mai as well as throughout the weekend. They're even acting as the contact point between me and the transport company while I wait for the crashed bike to arrive in Chiang Mai. I'm completely blown away by their kindness and genuine care for my well being.
The stay would've been great otherwise as well. The room was spacious, clean, and had great wifi. The property is well maintained, including a nice pool. And their breakfast was very good! The location is also very nice. Easy to get into town by foot (maybe 5 minutes). It was quiet and relaxing.
