The Chaya has some great aspects that make it special. I think the Staff are amazing. Super helpful and friendly. I hope that I can go back there again.

The hotel is quite far from the old city. So, if you don't wanna depend on taxis, you should opt for a different hotel. The rooms are quite nice, if you like old-fashioned wooden furniture. Unfortunately, I've booked (and paid in advance) a room at what they call "groundfloor". In reality, you'll have step downstairs from the real groundfloor and end up in a cage-style basement level. Your terrace ends at a wall, which is kind of depressive. Best (but over-priced) rooms are those with direct access to the large pool. However, the access to the pool is not easy since the one and only ladder is damaged. Not recommended for non-artists. The restaurant closes at 9:30 pm, so make sure you don't get hungry late. Coffee and tea are free all day long. WiFi was okay. Power supply seems to be difficult for older chargers
