Lovely small guesthouse

The Old Stay by Sister is a charming wooden style guest house. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off after touring the ruins of Old Sukhothai. The rooms are spacious. We had a a deluxe king room and a twin room. The updates to the king room were very nice. The twin room could use some improvements in the bathroom as well as some bedside lamps. The beds in both rooms were really hard, and I like a firm mattress. However, we still managed several good nights sleep to the serenade of frogs from the pond and river. One thing I was really disappointed in was the extra bed. They charge 500 baht for a thin mattress on the floor. We chose to all sleep in the king bed instead. The location was walkable from the old town, if hot and dusty in the day. Tuktuks were easy to get if you didn't want to walk. There is a lovely cafe across the road. Breakfast offered a good variety.
