Myself and my wife have visited the island numerous time and we wanted to try something different.
The bungalow was new with a separate bedroom and a good A/C. There is a kitchen too, a sofa and a small terrace. The downside was the amount of insects we had to deal with, inside and outside. Mosquitoes, flies and many more. I have never been bitten so much than on this trip! My wife even developed some allergy.
The swimming pool was pretty good with a few deck chairs.
We took the option for breakfast every morning and that was a bad idea. The food was good but the portions minuscular. Also, we were charged for every single extra cup of coffee we had in the morning (I need a minimum of 2 cups to wake up and I had to pay for it!).
We rented a motorbike from Arthaya when we arrived the first day in the afternoon. We realised when we left that the charge was per day and not per 24hrs. We brought the bike back early afternoon the last day and we ended up paying for an extra day.
The place is great but we felt the owner was money-minded and we think you cannot put a price on hospitality.
