We spent only one night here - the last of our holidays -but it was just perfect. Quiet, but very close to the city center and the main sights, clean, friedly staff and a nice pool to relay after a l... อ่านต่อ

As expected, my son and I's arrival to Bangkok was brutal. Let me just put it out there...I hate Bangkok! After arriving at the bus station, we taxied on down to Khao Son in search of Dinsomon. The cab driver could not find it (of course). After getting dropped off at Khao Son Road, we stumbled about in a haze, trying to find free WiFi to track down our hotel. No luck.
We continued hauling our backpacks around a 5 block radius, hitting up every 7-11 with the address, and asking anyone we could find. We even found "Dinso Road". No luck. We were exhausted and hoped we could find it the following day since we were tired and it was late, and we settled into an expensive place on Khao San Road.
Don't worry...the story gets better...
The next day our search began early. I discovered that Dinsomon Hotel is on Dinso Road, but on the other side of Democracy Monument. A combination of clueless locals and my inability to use my brain properly delayed our check-in.
Now to the good stuff. Upon arriving, the staff was EXTREMELY friendly. There were no issues getting us into our room. This boutique hotel was very clean, very intimate, and felt like a little oasis from the chaos of Khao San.
My favorite part of the stay was the pool. It's a small pool but, again, very intimate and tucked away from the chaos. It was a great feeling after having lugged our stuff all over Khao San. The breakfast was also very good.
If you would like to experience Khao San, but not live in it...this is THE place. I can't recommend it highly enough for the professional and kind staff, and cleanliness. I only wish I had found them a day sooner!
