Amazing resort in beatiful location

The resort is fantastic, beautiful gardens, everything very tidy and clean. The staff is really nice, helpful and professional. We stayed in 2 separate Deluxe villas with ocean views, and these were amazing, really big rooms and bathrooms with fantastic views to the rocky part of the cape. Big and super comfortable bed, free water and snaks every day, free snorkeling equipment available. The resort has a beautiful beach but it is not private and lots of people arrive from other parts of the island to stay on this beach. Other resorts ask for a fee to cross the resort, park in the parking, use their facilities and access the beach or see the view from the beach but not this one, don't know for what reason. Everything was fantastic except the fact that the resort is quite inaccessible and the free van they offer to take you to the 2 places in the island where there are restaurants, shops, supermarkets, etc. is totally insuffucient. It was dark at 18h30, dinner time in Thailand is around 18h30 - 19h but the resort only offers a van to the town at 20:00. and pick up to head back to the resort at 22:00. Otherwise, you need to take a taxi, that charges 600 Bhat to ride 5 minutes. Consider that the rate for 1 hour ride in Bangkok (airport-downtown) is 500 Bhat, so the taxi price is Koh Tao is absolutely abusive! The schedule of the free transport to the towns is made on purpose to "encourage " you to stay at the resort for dinner. The restaurant is very good but quite expensive, compared to other restaurants in the island. Of course, the location is fantastic as the restaurant is on the beautiful beach and has great views, but still as it is expensive, few people stay at lunchtime or dinnertime at the resort. It is a shame, as the food is very good and if they applied more competitive prices clients would be more inclined to stay instead of going dinner out every evening. The free transport during the day is also very inconvenient.
