nice stay, quiet and well located.
I watched this hotel being built and so looked forward to staying here in due course and finally got the opportunity. Don't get me wrong, it's very nice, very clean but typically sterile in terms of modern design and basic room fittings. The staff are very good, helpful and professional, but I just can't see an 8.8 rating. For me it is nice without being special enough for that type of rating, maybe it's the Agoda star system but in reality I would probably put it at 7.5. Still well ahead of plenty of other places but bear in mind at around 1200 baht for the night it's also double the tariff of a lot of those places, too. Yes, I'll probably go back, it's got the location, close to Loi Kroh Road but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Firm but comfortable bed (but awful skinny and disappearing pillows!). Eventually we found the hidden powerpoints under the bedside table so we could both plug in our phone chargers. Can be a bit noisy when noisy people come in and out, which is a result of the modern concrete cavern design. Has over the road car parking but this may well disappear as soon as someone starts construction on this prime block as well. Anyway, recommended but still think the 8.8 is tough to justify.
