beautiful hotel but location can be better

the room is everything you can ask for. Walk-in wardrobe, bathtub, DVD player, free wifi, comfortable king-sized bed, ultra-thick towels - all have been provided for.

service is tip-top. the receptionist took great initiative to find out the address and contact numbers of places that I enquired about in passing. she spoke very good English and was also quite a looker (sorry, I digress).

unfortunately, the hotel is situated a distance away from the nearest Chong Nonsi BTS station. On normal days, the 10-min walk is OK, even quite pleasant. but when it rains and when the sun is scorching hot, it's a different story altogether. taking a taxi is not always an option when the traffic jams lock in.
