We booked 2 nights in 6 bed mixed dorm. It was become our private dorm as no one else slept there. It was very quite, but we like they put noone else in our room so it was more like a private room.
If the room was full it would be very uncomfortable and packed with luggage, not so much space inside, they provide locker but the locker system is like a safe deposit box and most lockers didn’t work (need to be reset) so it might be problem if you have many people in the room. Room is very dark too, need better lighting eventhough you have reading light but still very dark. Lots of mosquito everywhere in the property, make sure you have insect repellent with you.
Bathroom was considerably clean as not many people use the showers and toilets. But water pressure is not the best. Basins are too small and the water taps are dodgy.
Free breakfast was the most limited breakfast we had (talking we have stayed in many hostels around the world). Literally only 2 slices of bread/person with a tiny pack of jam and a cup of hot drink. Nothing else.
Wifi was not the best (on and off). No AC down time in the bedroom which is very good as they don’t have AC in the common room.
Location was good for short stay as it’s located at the bus station. You can go to airport and to Patong easily (pay attention on their schedule). Staffs are friendly and willing to help with your questions on how to get around the area. They also let us to leave our luggage and have a shower in the evening before we head to airport.
