The Chanchalay was one of the best accommodations we had during our 5 weeks trip! We loved the cozy, light design of the place. We had a double room with private bathroom and fan. Other than in many places the rooms are spacious and offer plenty of space to hang and store your stuff, which is not all too common for accommodations in that price range. Also we enjoyed a very comfortable bed after many hard mattresses at other places - finally a good relaxed night rest without backpain :-) A lovely plus is the open air shower in a sweetly designed bathroom. Usually we found those only at beach bungalows and were happily surprised to find such an open air space in a town guesthouse. The staff was very friendly and helpful at any time and we felt very welcome. Also we enjoyed the location as the Chanchalay is perfectly situated just a few walking minutes from everything you need - markets, shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, river and pier. Next Krabi visit - Chanchalay again!
