Disappointing stay

This place is really not a great selection in the area. I have been traveling around Thailand for the past six months and this was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had.
We stayed for 5 days and the resort was pretty empty, but often the staff was no where to be found and service was very slow. When we did interact with the staff, it felt uncomfortable and it seemed they were not well trained to work in a customer service role (no friendly greetings, confused looks when we asked them simple questions, and simply an unwillingness to be acommidating in certain situations that I have come to expect from my experiences staying at other 5-star resorts). I will say, there were a few really great members of the staff but unfortunately not enough to outweigh the awkwardness of the others.
Overall, the grounds of the hotel were nice but this is in NO WAY a true 5-star hotel. I would recommend saving your money and staying somewhere the staff is welcoming.
