This 3 hotel could be anywhere in the world and it is visually attractive but lacks the Thai warmth and welcome. It has nice well maintained gardens and pools. The black concrete around the pools was not well thought out as it generates and reflects significantly more heat than non-black surfaces. Tip to guests - take shoes to wear in the pool for you and your children as the concrete burns the feet. Having a separate adults pool is a great idea. I feel that in designing this hotel, the architect was working to his design ego and not to a practical hotel design. There are some lovely aspects but also some disastrous areas such as the bathroom floor water waste.
The rooms were nicely designed and well presented BUT the bathroom was a nightmare for the guests as well as housekeeping staff. As in other reviews, the bathroom floor due to the design does not drain away the water and the floor is always a pool of water. Food & beverage expensive - A$ 23 for a poolside sandwich is mad.
