Excellent accommodation & great service

I would definately recommend this resort.

Bang Por, where Panalee is located is in a quiet location when compared to other areas on the island. With this in mind we hired a jeep from the airport to enable us to be in a quiet location, but also give us the freedom to get around the island.

Without transport you will be limited to the things that you can do at Panalee, but with transport is an excellent choice.

The rooms - We stayed in a deluxe villa, although It was more like a suite. One of the ones at the front of the property. There were no noise problems from the road. The Villa consisted of a nicely appointed bedroom with wardrobes, securely fixed safe in the wardrobe, Air conditioning in the bedroom. Separate living area with large TV & DVD player, Fridge (Minibar), Sofa / bench seating, Coffee table. Ceiling fan within living room. Separate bathroom with large granite bathtub & separate shower, Toilet & sink in another room. The only thing that is missing from these villas is an outdoor seating area. There were seats & a table provided nearby, but it would be nice to sit directly outside the villa, I suppose that as this was not considered when the villas were built it is a little late to incorporate as an after thought.

Restaurant - The restaurant is on the beach which is on the opposite side of the road. I should stress that at no time was there any difficulty in crossing this road. Breakfast was served by handing out a tick list & you circle the options you would like. The Breakfast was fairly good when compared to other breakfasts served in Thailand. Thai food was also served in the restaurant at other times & was reasonably priced & good.

Service - We booked our ferry tickets to Koh Phagnan through the resort for 250bhat each. This is actually cheaper than buying them direct from the ferry company (Lomprayah) who charge 300bhat at the pier. The rooms were made up every day when the key was handed in.

I would stay at Panalee again.
