Best stay ever!
I originally booked 2 nights (after some bad resort experiences I wanted to check the resort out first) but after I arrived I immediatly booked 3 nights extra. I stayed at both the Poolview Villa as well as the One-bedroom Villa. Both "rooms" were beautiful; clean, fresh, spacious and very private. Goods beds and really nice rain shower in the bathroom.
The location is great; (almost) right at the beach! The road is the only thing that splits the resort from the beach. Though it is the main road, you don't hear much of the cars passing by (and it is still easy to get to one of the towns for shopping). I stayed at the bungalow closest to the road and I didn't even hear a thing during the night. If you don't like the beach, there is a swimming pool as well and since the resort is so small (13 bungalows), you will have the pool for yourself most of the time.
Though the restaurant is across the road (which gives you the opportunity to have dinner with a view of the beautiful sunset), they also serve breakfast / lunch / dinner at your bungalow or at the pool. They offer a wide variety of dishes and the food is absolutely the best Thai food I had in Thailand (see restaurant tip as well).
The best thing about the resort is the staff, they are so warm and friendly. They remember the little details (e.g. I left early for a trip and they packed me a sandwich to go) and they take the extra step to make your stay the perfect stay. They promise you a home away from home and they keep that promise!
I will definitely return to the Panalee Resort and I can recommend everybody to stay there as well!
