We stayed at the Serene Sands for a week in December. First impressions were that the hotel looked lovely and it had a lovely view of the ocean. We had paid for a superior room which we were disappointed with, the room was very small and dark with the only light coming from a single door on to the balcony overlooking the car park. There is a small fitness room and steam room but there is an additional charge which seemed very strange. There are notices posted everywhere that you cannot bring any drinks or food anywhere in the hotel including the bedrooms. The prices that the hotel charges for food and drink are very expensive by Thailand standards which meant we did not want to spend any time there. The hotel is about 15 minutes from Pattaya, the hotel offers a shuttle twice a day at 11pm and 3pm you have to book this in advance and if you want to use it at others times it is charged at 250 baht. Breakfast was included but very basic coffee of orange juice not both and in a tiny cup/glass. A small omelete or a piece of ham 2 small sausages and one fried egg, you can then choose either fruit or toast not both. You can buy extras but very expensive. The staff are very nice and helpful but everything else considered we definately would not stay again.
