Perfect

This boutique hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood, where there is a mix of both upscale restaurants (like the next door Bo.Lan) as well as on-the-go street eats. (Also do check out the Thong Lor Art Space nearby if you want to catch some indie performances; many of these shows are subtitled in English). My first encounter with the amazing hospitality was when we were offered some drinks as our check-in was being processed. I subsequently bought the same iced Thai black tea on other occasions as it was a refreshing thirst-quencher on hot days.
The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated, with clean, almost Scandinavian lines with whimsical accents (a digital print painting with Pop Art juxtapositions graces the staircase landings). Our room has a gigantic window that faces the street, and as a fan of natural lighting this was a godsend. There are, however, blackout curtains if you need to take a nap and also a more diaphanous curtain for privacy. The space inside the room was more than adequate, with a desk near the window and a wardrobe. The Smart TV allowed you to watch your favourite youtube shows on the TV screen. The larder was thoughtfully stocked with an array of snacks in case you had some late-night munchies.
By far what impressed us the most was how attentive and friendly the staff was. They were very helpful with recommendations of what to check out around the area, and one of them, a lady whose name I have regretfully forgotten, went out of her way to book a cab for us to the airport. She even stepped out into the heat to make sure that our ride knew exactly which porch to stop at.
It was all in all a very pleasant stay and I would most certainly revisit the property.
