Five star hotel/ experience, UNUSABLE beach

The resort grounds were immaculate and service top notch. We stayed in May - I'm not sure how much of the year this is an issue, but for us, the resort experience was greatly diminished due to the complete lack of beach. We had to walk out to the end of a very long dock to even get feet wet and couldn't walk out far enough to swim. Pools are amazing, but if you want ocean swimming, you have to go elsewhere for a real beach. This also meant there was no possibility for snorkeling, kayak other beach activities advertised. As resort is secluded, this means driving. We rented scooter from resort for 250 THB a day which made it work.
Would be perfect if there actually was a beach you could swim in.

Beautiful resort hotel with gorgeous grounds.
