Great place, value and staff!

I have been in Thailand for 11 years and on Samui for nearly 2 years. Samui Mermaid is right on the beach and has a quaint swimming pool. Perfect place for relaxing. The beach is not the greatest (most beautiful) beach on Samui, but excellent value for the price. The on-site restaurants have a wide array of food and beverage choices including exceptional traditional Thai food. You can easily walk to other restaurants, 7/11 and other establishments near the hotel. There's plenty of 'night-life' also....not the same as Chaweng or Lamai...but you do not have to travel far to find it.
If you have transportation (a motorcycle), you can get to any part of the island easily. If not, public transportation to other island locations is not difficult. Only 5 minutes to the airport.
VERY fast and easy check-in. Every staff member was friendly. Samui is beautiful. Samui Mermaid is a wonderful resort, but the staff at the resort was the most impressive. Thanks for a terrific stay.

1 night before/afrer the airport

3 great pools clean small beach attached to property, near shops and motorbike rental, near airport
Free airport pick up from hotel if you book direct, relatively quiet BUT next to airport but you get used to it been staying here 16 years, never had any problems

Great stay
We had a great stay here, the location wasn’t so great but the staff were so friendly and the facilities were great. The planes were very noisy and woke us up in the morning but they stop at 10pm.
