Not knowing what to expect after having paid about per night for 26-29 Dec, we were pleasantly surprised and did not feel too ripped off (found out on line that on normal days, it costs about a 5th of what we paid). Our 2 bedroom villa was very comfortable and spacious though the 2nd room could be larger at the expense of the living room. View was good and the private pool was handy and not just ornamental. The swimming pool was sizeable for a hotel with only 42 rooms and it never got 'crowded', plenty of empty spots to choose from by the pool side. The beach was a different matter. it was not exactly a private beach and chairs were not enough. Worse still , we were aware that some staff members put things on the chairs to reserve them for perhaps guests who would tip then well ... in the end some chairs were not use from morning till evening when they could have been used by genuine guests. Food was OK but it took an eternity for them to be ready. Hotel also ran out of free bottled water on 28 Dec for the whole day but guests could buy another brand of bottled water from the hotel??!! Plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance plus there is the Laguna group next door. On the whole a good hotel. The compliemntary massages were very pofessional and enjoyable.
