Great hotel, weird area
What a surprising little find. This is one of my favourite hotel experiences in Bangkok. I wasn't expecting much because the entrance was so modest, but my room was spectacular. A king-sized bed with four fluffy pillows, a glass-enclosed toilet, and a separate glass-closed shower that was more than big enough for two at the same time. The design was truly special, and the accommodation was spotless.
My only complaints are that it's in a strange area that's a bit short on food options, and the nearest BTS station (Saphan Taksin) is a bit of a hike away. I also was in a room facing the back, and right outside the large fabulous window was an area that the staff used to dry towels (strange). That meant there'd occasionally be hotel employees walking by (stranger).
The WiFi was excellent, but annoyingly, you could access it with passwords on small stubs handed out by the front desk that expired after a few days. It was inconvenient and unnecessary in 2017. But at least the signal was powerful and never faltered in 8 days. Recommended!
