Attractive surroundings, gardens, quiet, peaceful
Although the Elements wasn't close to the centre of tourist action, it was quite accessible to both the smaller town of Klong Muang, by motor scooter - which was heaps of fun and readily available - and the larger centre of Ao Nong, by Hotel Shuttle Bus. It was a pleasure to return to the quiet, peacefulness of the Elements at the end of a day catching a long boat to Railay Beach with hundreds of International tourists, and the bustle of Ao Nong. We did find that there was a shortage of lounge chairs in prime positions around the pool, being there at the same time as a group of 18 German residents, but happily adventured out of the Resort to nearby Tup Kaek Beach and the touristy attractions of Ao Nang. Our room was a haven of comfort and space, and riding a motor-scooter around the area was a highlight. The beach opposite was a little disappointing, being in between two industrial gravel/sand ports, but there were other options nearby. We all also enjoyed using the gym before breakfast; very pleasant outlook and well equipped.
