modern hotel but poor night shift service

We stayed two nights here. The second night the ac didn't work. And we can't open the window cos its raining heavily.and there's no screen window, otherwise there will be full of incests.One big problem is that, there's only one Thai guard who can't speak English in the whole hotel!!! No other staff. No phone call answer. We understand ac was not working, it happens. But its really scary to have nobody to ask for help. What if there's emergency?? In the end,the guard understand my bfs body language and called one of the staff. They opened a new room for us, which is nice enough. But I really think the hotel should improve their night shift. It's not a cheap hostel. Paying 3600b to get this kind of service is not satisfying. Comparing to the layana we stayed before(layana is around 5500$), theirservice is worth the price.
