Good but not outstanding

Chose this hotel due to its location & excellent reviews. Location was outstanding with great views & just a short walk to the best beach on Koh Lanta. The hotel itself was a little disappointing. We felt that it needs a bit of tlc & some updating. The glass cover on the unit in our room was broken & held together with tape, not exactly what you expect from a hotel of this standard. Also the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly for the duration of our 6 night stay. The staff however were very helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was very limited but there are plenty of other places to eat on the beach. Overall very nice but it lacks a bit of soul
