Absolutely Great
The resort was exactly what we wished for. We got a bungalow which was quite high on the hillside, but in a quiet, green, peaceful surroundings. the best was the view from the little wooden balcony - the best view anywhere on the beach.
the room is basic, but has everything you need (except for a refrigerator which could be nice to keep your water cold). It is very clean and well maintained. We had a problem with the toilet which was fixed within an hour. It is a wooden bungalow, with a nice hot water shower and a front porch overlooking the bay. It was only 3 minutes descend to the restaurant and the beach, and the advantage is that we felt completely alone and private in our room and on our porch. That's what we were looking for on our romantic vacation.
The hotel's restaurant was great. We only understood that after spending two more weeks in Phangan, eating at many restaurants, and realizing that the first one (in Thongthapan) keeps at 1st place.
The staff was very helpful, fluent english speaking, eager to help with everything. The hotel also has a massage deck on the beach which was excellent. WiFi was available at the reception area but not up in the room.
Bottom line - if you're looking for a romantic place to spend your vacation, and you are looking for the complete Thailand experience, without too much need for glamour of expensive resorts - you must go there!
