Stayed two nights in Pawapi in September. Upon arrival we realised that the resort was closed, literally since the reception/baar booth was washed away by the wind. Fortunately some construction workers onsite helped us to call the owner and we were able to get a key to one of the beach front bungalows. No one spoke english, but we were able to get some water, toilet paper and directions to the local village, where we ate some amazing thai food. So we spent two nights all by ourself in the resort, had the whole beach to use, etc. Probably also an amazing place to relax also during high season. But don't expect much from the bungalows. you should have at least breakfast, hot water and free wifi. None of that was included. The bedsheets were dirty and you had bed bugs everywhere. We ate breakfast located on the other side of the island. Also used the local travel agency to get to Emeral Cave. It is a very muslim populated island, so do except the praying sounds all day long :)
