Helpful staff, scenic views
we were four colleagues, we remted two rooms next to one another, we had very little time to explore phangan unfortunately but as with almost all places on it, it is very useful to rent a scooter. you cannot really get around on foot. the taxi fare will cost you more than a scooter, scooter is thb per day, while one ride by taxi i.e. a pick up truck is 100 thb minimum. this is a queter spot, with other resorts round it, small beaches and a couple of bars next door but no loud music. the parties on the island are scattered all over, the supermarket is at the pier in the south and the best beach is at the very north, so the location of this little cute place is just as good as most, the island being small and all. once we walked back from the pier and it took us about 30 minutes easy walk chatting. the food at the resort restaurant is ok, the breakfast is american, but they offer you the choice of how you like your eggs cooked and fresh fruits, which is pretty decent. the only remark i have is that there seems to be an uncovered sort of like sewage hole just under the balconies of the ground floor of the accommodation building, mostly felt in the bathrooms but also on the balconies too. that is why we kept the balcony doors shut and the ac for airing. that made a lot of difference. just to mention, the smell does not streach toward the front of the building where the pool and the restaurant and reception are.
