the Good and the Bad
nice to find a place with a little nature just 1.5 hours from bangkok, but some serious problems with management there. when we arrived they would not recognize our agoda reservation. the middle level room we reserved was not available. they said we would have to downgrade to a smaller, lesser room, but pay the full price of the higher level room!!!! we travelled with a baby so had no option to hunt around for another place so took the room dissapointedly. later they said they could now upgrade us to the highest room. i thought they were finally taking care of us, but then we learned we would have to pay anoter 2,200 baht for that! where is the customer satisfaction in this! they werent even apologetic. breakfast was way below standard. better to eat outside the hotel. the nice part was the suite room (which we had to pay for!) was nice in that it had a balcony overlooking the stream, had a small outdoor jacuzzi, and an outdoor shower which i like. the bed was very creaky and noisy, so we didnt sleep well. pool looked nice, but we didnt use it.
too bad, we were hoping to find a regular escape from bangkok.
